Estate and Trust Administration (Fiduciary Representation)

Following the death of a loved one, it can be overwhelming to deal with dividing up (“administering” or “settling”) that person’s estate.

This is particularly true when the decedent (the person who passed away) or their surviving spouse received Medical Assistance (MA) benefits. In such cases, there may be unresolved issues about Medical Assistance liens, elective share claims, and estate recovery claims.

NWLG provides full representation of people acting as personal representatives or as trustees (in other words, people who are acting as “fiduciaries”) who need to administer trust estates, probate estates, and non-probate estates. We represent family members and professional fiduciaries, alike. (Note: “Personal representatives” may be referred to as “executors” in some states, although not in Minnesota.)

We help clients to obtain Affidavits of Survivorship, Affidavits for Collection of Personal Property, and Medical Assistance Clearance Certificates.

Contact Us today for assistance with administering a trust or an estate.
